šŸ“µ Step Away from the Scroll

The first thing most of us do in the morning? Grab the phone. I get it. I do it too. But here’s the thing: your brain wakes up like wet cement. Whatever you stamp on it first is going to leave a mark. Do you really want that imprint to be the group chat, an email about your credit card bill, or a bro telling you while you were sleeping he was building an empire?

I’ve started delaying the scroll— even just a few minutes— and wow, it changes everything. It’s like giving my brain a stretch before it sprints.

Here’s what I try instead (and you can, too):

  • Check in with myself before checking messages. Am I rested? Do I remember my dreams? Do I need water before coffee?

  • Stretch before I even get out of bed. A couple of gentle moves for my back and hips—it takes two minutes and keeps me flexible all day.

  • Step outside, even for 60 seconds. Sunlight before screen light. Your whole nervous system thanks you.

  • Breathe. Literally one deep inhale, one long exhale, before letting the world in.

Look, I’m not saying a full-on digital detox. Let’s be real. Our phones aren’t going anywhere. But two minutes without a screen in the morning? That’s doable. And those two minutes can turn into five, then ten. Suddenly, your day feels calmer, lighter, more yours.

Because here’s the truth: you control your phone—it doesn’t control you.

🧔 Simple Acts of Kindness

Lately, it feels like the world’s running low on patience—and high on bad vibes. Which is why now, more than ever, kindness isn’t optional. It’s survival. I’m not talking about grand gestures or donating a kidney (though, hey, if you’re feeling generous…). I’m talking about the tiny things that shift the mood of a whole day—holding a door, saying the nice thing out loud, tipping a little extra because someone’s gotta win today.

šŸ‘‰ Click below to listen as I went down a Reddit rabbit hole of ā€œsmall acts of kindness,ā€ added my own savvy twists, and came back with a list that proves being a decent human doesn’t cost a dime—but pays off in actual magic.

šŸ— Garlic Herb Butter Chicken Breasts

Who knew farmhouse fabulous could happen on a weeknight? These golden, juicy chicken breasts get slathered in a sage–parsley–garlic butter situation so good, it’ll make you forget you ever bought bottled marinade. Ready in under 40 minutes, no clucking chickens required—just you, a pan, and applause at the dinner table.

šŸ‘‰ Click below and let your tastebuds savor each bite.

šŸ“My Co-Chef That Never Talks Back

Chop, slice, shred, and purĆ©e like a pro with this Cuisinart food processor. The 9-cup bowl is big enough for family dinners, and the continuous-feed chute means you can keep tossing stuff in without stopping. It’s basically the sous-chef I always wanted—except it doesn’t complain, text during prep, or ā€œforgetā€ to clean up.

Savvy Finds You’ll Actually Use šŸ›ļøšŸ”„

Not a random list—this is the stuff I really reach for. From the kitchen tools that earn their keep to the clever little extras that make life smoother (and honestly, more fun), it’s all here. Think of it as my personal highlight reel of things worth having in your home. Come snoop, shop, and maybe fall in love with something new.

🌓 Miami Roots, Reinvention, and Resilience — My Feature in VoyageMIA

If you’ve ever wondered how Savvy Planet really began — the messy middle, the reinventions, the ā€œstart over againā€ moments — this interview tells it all.
I sat down with VoyageMIA to talk about the spark behind my work, the power of resilience, and why starting from scratch (more than once) can be the best thing that ever happens to you.
